Grocery Shopping Tips:

Now you have your grocery shopping list downloaded and ready to rock on your smartphone (if you do not, go back and download the list), you may need some of my handy-dandy tips to help you save BIG and keep you within your time frame.

5 Tips on how-to save money and your time while grocery shopping.

1. Shop Smart:

Shop the outside aisles first and fill your cart with protein rich foods (fresh or frozen), hit the dairy section and pick-up some yogurt, string cheese, eggs then go into the aisles. Buy your essential foods in bulk in the aisles (cereal, granola bars, oatmeal, bread, rice, etc.) to save time and money next time around!

2. Plan Ahead:

Write down all the groceries you need and stick to it (ding ding ding save my grocery list onto your phone so you always have it available)!

3. Never Go Grocery Shopping While Hungry:

Huge mistake! Eat before you go so you’re not tempted to buy foods you do not need.

4. Shop in season:

Fruits, vegetables and even meats have times in the year when they’re more expensive then usual. Shop in season and save money! When your fruit, vegetable, or meat are not in season pick them up in the frozen aisle.

5. Read Me!

Use the nutrition facts label to choose beverages and foods at the store. The label contains information about total sugars, fats and calories. Reading the Nutrition Facts labels on packaged foods can help you make better choices.
