Protein Packed Gluten Free Travel Breakfast Ideas
I get it, we have those days…alarm goes off and we have no time to make breakfast, yet even think about it! My question for you, when you experience a morning filled with rush, what type of morning person are you? Are you the “grab the coffee and go” or “feed kids first then me” or “traveling for work/fun and stuck in a hotel room”?
What if I tell you there’s an option for breakfast that takes 3-minutes too make?
If you have time to “grab your coffee and head out the door” or “stop at your local coffee shop” you have time to whip up these two breakfast ideas.
This past weekend I was traveling in L.A. for the IDEA World Fitness and Nutrition Convention. Thursday and Friday mornings were great; I packed enough food too make breakfast (big breakfast) both days. Saturday and Sunday come around and I did not pack enough food…what do I do? Do I starve? Do I hit up Starbucks and grab a “croissant?” (just kidding that’s not even an option because they’re not gluten free *sad face*). Nope! Thankfully I picked up extra Siggi’s yogurt, Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, Granola, and Purely Pinole Hot Cereal too have options for myself at The Idea World Convention.

Saturday Morning’s Breakfast:
Vital Protein’s Collagen Peptides + Starbucks Venti Black Coffee, Handful Raspberries (bought at local grocery store), and Handful Granola (not pictured).

The color replicates Acai berries, but instead of “Cold Smoothie Bowl” you can now have a hot one! I did not have a cool, fancy bowl, or microwave. But I did have coffee cup, water and coffee maker in my room to make the hot cereal.
Since I didn’t have any fancy equipment, I first placed Pinole in my coffee cup (I tried Blueberry and Banana flavor), added ¾ cup water to the hotel rooms coffee pot, combined the two and stirred to create “thick” consistency for 3-minutes.
