When You Want to Succeed
Words from February issue of Train magazine from bodybuilding.com. I love reading their issues and came across this article and quote by Eric Thomas, PH.D., author and world-renowned speaker:
"When you want to SUCCEED as bad as you want to BREATHE, then you'll be successful."
Article goes on stating: success is the achievement of something desired, planned or attempted. People succeed and fail everyday with medial tasks, job opportunities, fitness goals and of many other day-to-day tasks. But when you want to make a great change and achieve success on a grand scale you need the desire to really push past what you believe you're capable of.
Eric Thomas quote is saying that you will succeed when you're willing to give up everything for your desired goal, and he suggests you do 4 things to stay motivated:
Write down your ultimate goal
Now write 3 people that will benefit from your success
Explain exactly how this trio will benefit
Why is it so important that these 3 people benefit from your success?
Every time you feel like stopping, re-read what you wrote to help you push on to achieve all your goals.
For example: my ultimate goal is to gain the knowledge I need to reach an abundance of individuals to help empower their lives and master one of the hardest tasks of the human body: confidence.
This will benefit: my future family, prospective clients, and future companies (yes I know this is more then 3 people but that's okay!)
(Answer both 3 and 4 question) This trio will benefit because I can help assist companies and clients to achieve greatness and make their lives a little easier by providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to make massive change. This will benefit my future family so we can be financially stable and enjoy the things we love to do in life.
Now it's your turn! Grab your journal (or phone), snuggle up with a cup of tea or coffee and get writing!
With all my clients I mandate that they state their ultimate goals (for life, health, finance, fitness--whatever they want) and share it with me or a loved one to keep them accountable to achieve their goals. I layout full step-by-step guide towards setting achievable goal(s) with any of my online training programs.
