Motivational Tricks Fitness Freaks Use To Stay Motivated

We have all been there; you get home late from work, need to cook dinner and still get your workout in. Or the alarm buzzes and chirps in your ear in the wee hours of the morning. How do the fitness freaks do it? How do they stay motivated even with a full-blown schedule on there plate?

Here are 6-tricks the fitness freaks use to hit their next fitness and health goals that you can use too!

1. Get to your starting point

If you’re thinking of working out; do it! Find an execution plan and follow through with it. If you know you cannot get to the gym until after work, pack up your workout clothes, gym shoes and post workout shake. Working out in the morning?

Two Options:

Option 1: Sleep in your workout clothes (sounds crazy, but it works).

Option 2: Step 1: Set your clothes, shoes, head phones and phone all by each other.

Step 2: Set your alarm on your phone (which is by your gym clothes) and place them across your room. Step 3: Alarm rings, you wake up and have to GET UP to turn that annoying chirping off your phone. You see your clothes placed right in front of you and think… “Do I really want to put these away and be mad at myself, or go get my workout in and feel great afterwards?”

Your choice!

2. Discover your “why

What is your reason for working out? Is it for health? Gain confidence? Stress release? Training for a race, competition, or event? Aesthetic reasons? Lifestyle choice? Whatever your “why” is, write it down. After you wrote your “why”, post it somewhere you can see it, tell a friend, trainer/coach, or loved one to keep you accountable.

**The best advice I can give you is post your “why” in your trigger spots. Where do you find yourself struggling most? Is it your bathroom mirror? Closest where you once fit into those pair of jeans or dress? Car? Office? Wherever it is (can be more then one place) post it up!

3. Resort to social media for motivation

Social media is awesome these days. You can instantly search a hash-tag like “#workoutideas #bootywork #workoutvideos #wwhd_fitness” to instantly discover new techniques for a movement. Go ahead an hash-tag your posts to be found so others can see your post and gain new connections.

Also, if you’re REALLLLY not feeling it, then take up social media to state to your followers what you’re going to do. Tell them how you feel and that you’re struggling and need motivation to get to the gym.

4. Sign-up for a race, competition, or event

Your chance has come. Its time to sign-up for that 5K, Spartan race, bikini competition, or get fit for a wedding, cruise, special event you have coming up! Even better? Sign-up for a race with a friend and hold each other accountable for training. Take action today. Phone-a-friend, sign-up for your race, write it on the calendar, pick-up a training program (www.ampupfitness.com offers so pretty cool online training programs) and get busy my friend!

5. Did someone say new gear?

My momma always said starting a new physical activity is fun, but the best part? New gear! Hellllloooo, buying new workout gear—or receiving it as a present, can be so much fun (I know I am not alone). I always ask for gym clothes, sports bras, or high socks for presents because I LOVE rocking new styles in the gym. When I look in the mirror and see bright yellow socks, or pants that enhance your body makes me push that much harder in the gym.

So go amp up your life with some new gear. I promise you wont regret itJ

Also, don’t be ashamed to check yourself out in the gym. Look at the person next to you. They’re probably doing the same thing… J (just don’t be that person who stares at themselves constantly, you’re not that cool.)

6. If you really want it, you will do it.

Nobody has time for excuses, yet everyone makes them! Ironic right? Making excuses eats away at your brain, and in my opinion can be more work then actually taking action. If you want it, you will do it. No questions asked. If you checkout one of my online training packages, you will instantly learn that I devote 100% of my efforts to each one of my clients—if they’re wiling to give me some effort. You can only help someone get fit, gain confidence, get shredded abs and look hot for an event for so long. Customized programs, free advice on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook are laying in front of you. Don’t make excuses and just do it!

Like I said about social media, so many people are willing to help you! All you have to do is ask and someone WILL help you. It does not even have to be me (even though I would be honored to help you). I post FREE advice, tips and healthy hacks on this blog, Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook. Click one of my social media icons and get busy educating your brain to take your life to the next level!

Always thanks for listening:)
